libirman-dev software package provides library for accessing the Irman Infra Red hardware, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libirman-dev
libirman-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libirman-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libirman-dev *
You will get with libirman-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
